Chinese private rocket company Deep Blue Aerospace secures hundreds of millions in funding! Nebula-1 rocket to debut this year

On May 28th, it was announced that today, Chinese private rocket company Deep Blue Aerospace has successfully completed Series B and B1 financing rounds, receiving hundreds of millions of Chinese yuan in funding.

Deep Blue Aerospace stated that this round of funding will be used for the development of recycling and reuse technology, production of the first Nebula-1 reusable rocket set to launch in 2024, as well as team expansion and talent acquisition. s_41d7c95162c94a6e8c4cd933512dd173.png The Nebula-1 rocket is a newly developed liquid reusable launch vehicle with independent innovation and proprietary intellectual property rights. The first test rocket is expected to make its maiden flight in 2024.

The first-stage rocket has a diameter of 3.35 meters, with a near-earth orbit capacity of about 2 tons. It is equipped with 10 Thunder-R liquid oxygen kerosene engines and can be fitted with either a 3.35m or 2.25m fairing depending on the size of the payload.

The first stage is designed for reusability, rapid maintenance, and relaunch capabilities, catering to the demand for low-cost, high-reliability, and high-frequency launches.

Deep Blue Aerospace has stated that they will increase research and development investment in reusable rocket technology to advance the development, launch, recovery, and reuse of the Nebula series rockets.

Furthermore, they plan to expand infrastructure investment, enhance manufacturing and testing capabilities, aiming to achieve a delivery level of over 20 reusable rockets per year. s_6498369c3bac4b839041667f8680c9ed.png
