China Mobile Adjusts Pricing and Discontinues Lower-tier Plans

China Mobile has recently made adjustments to its service offerings, discontinuing the 8 CNY and 18 CNY plans while discreetly raising prices on certain packages.

The 8 CNY plan from China Mobile was targeted towards users with low-cost requirements. Priced at just 8 CNY per month, it included features such as caller ID, nationwide free incoming calls, and either 30 minutes of domestic calls or 100MB of domestic data (users could choose between the two). Additional usage beyond the allocated limits incurred charges of 0.19 CNY per minute for domestic calls and 0.29 CNY per MB for data (rounded up to the nearest minute or MB).
