China Agricultural Science Academy's Ningling Spirit Exhibition Hall Completed and Opened

Recently, the China Agricultural Science Academy conducted a research activity titled "Promoting Agricultural Science Spirit to Support High-Quality Development of Fruit Tree Industry" in Ningling County, Henan Province. Yang Zhenhai, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Agricultural Science Academy, pointed out during the event that the Ningling Spirit of the China Agricultural Science Academy is an integral part of the spirit of agricultural science and a valuable spiritual asset of the agricultural science and technology front. The completion and use of the Ningling Spirit Exhibition Hall of the China Agricultural Science Academy marks an important milestone in inheriting and promoting the spirit of agricultural science. 66135c77e4b03b5da6d0c755.jpg The Ningling Spirit Exhibition Hall of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, located in Lihuaqiao Village, Shiqiao Town, Ningling County, Henan Province, covers an area of 900 square meters. Through 13,000 words, over 350 images, and nearly a hundred physical exhibits, the hall comprehensively showcases the diligent work and generational legacy of the scientific workers of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the former Yellow River region. It vividly interprets the spirit of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Ningling, which emphasizes "not forgetting the original intention, rooting in sandy land, tackling difficulties, and benefiting the people," all in full support of the development of the fruit tree industry.

Yang Zhenhai emphasized that the core element for developing new productive forces is technological innovation. As a strategic scientific and technological force in Chinese agriculture, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences must further strengthen basic research in frontier science and cross-disciplinary fields, as well as undertake groundbreaking technological innovations. Key efforts will focus on breeding varieties, efficient resource utilization, orchard equipment, biosafety, green low-carbon initiatives, and rural development. These endeavors will accelerate crucial core technological breakthroughs and provide a source of vitality for cultivating new agricultural productive forces.

Yang Zhenhai pointed out the crucial role of cultural construction in uniting hearts and forging spirits. He encouraged all scientific and technological workers in the academy to have a broad vision, work at the grassroots level, tackle challenges, conduct research for the people, and shoulder the responsibility of stabilizing the country's strategic scientific and technological strength. He stressed the importance of fully leveraging the role of the academy's industrial expert team and utilizing the technological support system of "institute-regional center-expert team-workstation" to continuously promote technology transformation and scientific services. Particularly, efforts will focus on meeting the new demands of modern fruit tree management entities, providing integrated technical demonstrations, and various forms of vocational training to continuously build a new era's model orchards in Ningling.

The research team visited the Ningling Spirit Exhibition Hall of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, conducted surveys of the tens of thousands of acres of pear orchards in Ningling County, the Ningling Pear Experimental Station of the Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute, pear product processing plants, and held a seminar on high-quality development of the fruit tree industry with scientific and technological support.
