On April 13th, the 6th Agricultural Science Open Day and the "Spring of Science Popularization" event in Haidian District were launched in Beijing. This Agricultural Science Open Day is themed around "Science and Technology Popularization for Green and Healthy Farming Life," with 36 affiliated institutes concurrently participating.

Wu Kongming, member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and President of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, stated that the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as the national team for agricultural research, regards agricultural popularization as an important task and an unshirkable responsibility. Relying on high-quality agricultural popularization resources, efforts are being made to carry out high-quality agricultural popularization, providing strong support for ensuring food security, promoting comprehensive rural revitalization, accelerating the development of new agricultural productive forces, and building a strong agricultural country.
The Agricultural Science Open Day event was jointly organized by the Scientific and Technical Association of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Scientific and Technical Association of Haidian District, Beijing. It aims to popularize agricultural science knowledge among the general public and promote the sharing and dissemination of agricultural science knowledge.
At the event, numerous new achievements in agricultural science and technology were showcased, immersing everyone in the ocean of agricultural science and technology. Not only did it demonstrate the application of agricultural science and technology products in daily life, but it also deeply impressed people with the convenience and changes brought about by agricultural science and technology.
In the splendid science popularization lectures, agricultural experts and researchers explained the cutting-edge technologies and development trends of agricultural science and technology in simple and understandable language, filling the public's gaps in agricultural science knowledge. The colorful and diverse science popularization market featured various interesting agricultural science popularization exhibits and interactive games, leaving everyone lingering. Through interaction and communication with researchers, participants had a close experience of the latest developments and applications of agricultural science and technology.
On the day of the event, the Science Association of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences also held the launching ceremony of the "Agricultural Science Popularization Network." Six research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences simultaneously paired with six primary and secondary schools in Haidian District, jointly signing cooperation agreements for primary and secondary schools in Haidian District to visit the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Since its inception in 2019, the Agricultural Science Open Day has attracted over 26 million participants online and offline. By showcasing new achievements in agricultural science and technology and disseminating science popularization knowledge, it has enhanced the public's understanding of agricultural science and technology, as well as inspired the enthusiasm and determination of science and technology workers for innovation in agricultural science and technology.
