On April 17th, according to official information from China Railway, the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway in Indonesia officially opened for operation for half a year. With continuous growth in passenger flow, it has sent a total of 2.56 million passengers, with high-speed trains covering over 1.26 million kilometers safely and smoothly.

The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway commenced operation on October 17, 2023, with a maximum operating speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

This marks Indonesia's entry into the era of high-speed rail and represents the first full-scale overseas deployment of China's high-speed rail technology and standards. The railway is operated jointly by the Indonesia-China High-Speed Railway Company (KCIC), and a joint operations team composed of China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. and the Indonesian National Railway Company.

Following the official opening of the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, travel time between Jakarta and Bandung has been reduced from over three hours to just 46 minutes.

Initially, there were 14 sets of high-speed trains operating daily, but during peak hours, this number has increased to 52 sets, totaling 7,050 sets operated so far.

The highest daily passenger volume reached 21,537, with a peak occupancy rate of 99.6%.

The online ticket booking rate has reached 86%, while offline ticket counters are also available. Various payment methods are supported, and a flexible dynamic pricing policy is implemented.

At stations such as Halim, Padalarang, and Bekasi, convenience stores and fast food outlets have been established. Onboard the high-speed trains, there are snack bars and coffee shops, along with barrier-free facilities.

Furthermore, the joint operations team places emphasis on enhancing the training of Indonesian staff. Through theoretical training, simulated operations, and mentoring, local staff members are familiarized with equipment, facilities, and operational processes, accumulating practical experience. Some Indonesian employees have obtained qualifications and are independently operating, continuously improving the localization of operations and management capabilities of the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway. s_90188560e5844b1384477b60a09c9a87.jpg
