China's New Energy Vehicle Penetration Rate Approaching 50% - Historic Moment is Coming

On March 19th, it was reported that the overall sales figures for the 11th week (March 11th to March 17th) have been released by Yiche.com.

The total sales of passenger vehicles reached 337,000 units, marking a 10% increase compared to the previous week. Among them, the sales of traditional fuel vehicles amounted to 179,000 units, showing an 11% increase compared to the previous week.

Meanwhile, the sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 158,000 units, indicating a 9% increase compared to the previous week.

In the 11th week, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles reached 46.88%, slightly down from 48.25% in the 10th week. Wang Chuanfu also mentioned that competition in the new energy vehicle market is intensifying, and the industry will enter a fierce elimination phase.
