On April 9th, it was reported that the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released its analysis of the domestic passenger car market for March.

In March, the retail sales of new energy vehicles reached 709,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 29.5% and a month-on-month increase of 82.5%. The export volume of new energy vehicles in March was 120,000 units, up 70.9% year-on-year and 52.8% month-on-month, accounting for 29.7% of passenger car exports, an increase of 5.6 percentage points from the same period last year.

In terms of exports by new energy manufacturers in March, BYD surpassed Tesla and secured the top position in China's new energy vehicle exports.

Specifically, BYD exported 38,434 vehicles, Tesla China exported 26,666 vehicles, and SAIC Motor passenger cars exported 18,612 vehicles, with these three manufacturers having export volumes exceeding tens of thousands of vehicles.

Among other car companies, Chery Automobile exported 5,403 vehicles, NIO exported 4,188 vehicles, BMW Brilliance exported 3,196 vehicles, Geely Auto exported 2,989 vehicles, Changan Auto exported 2,399 vehicles, GAC Motor exported 2,377 vehicles, and GAC Aion exported 2,367 vehicles, ranking fourth to tenth respectively.

From the monitoring data of overseas retail sales exported by independent brands, A0-class electric vehicles accounted for nearly 60%, serving as the absolute main force of independent exports. Independent brands such as SAIC have performed strongly in Europe, while BYD is rising in the Southeast Asian market.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers pointed out that with the emergence of China's new energy vehicle scale advantage and the expansion of market demand, more and more Chinese-made new energy products are going abroad, and their recognition overseas continues to increase.

Although there have been some disturbances in Europe recently, the long-term outlook for the new energy export market remains promising. Se50dffde-d269-448b-8d47-49376bd7395e.jpg
