On March 17th, reports from domestic media revealed that employees of Chery Automotive have disclosed that during the launch of the "Yao Guang C-DM" on March 11th, Chery's Star Road allegedly compelled its employees to recharge and reward the official live streaming room, otherwise facing a deduction of 200 points in their performance assessment.

According to screenshots provided by the employee, the notification states that all employees of the Star Road Marketing Center must, within a specified time frame, enter the "EXEED Star Road" live streaming room and recharge 50 CNY to purchase gifts.

After completion, they are required to screenshot the recharge record and diamond consumption record. Those who fail to complete this task will be penalized 200 CNY per person in their assessment. Moreover, the top 10 employees on the gift-giving leaderboard will receive an incentive of 2000 CNY per person, to be fulfilled in their March salary. s_77fd6a3f21aa47af87b70ee56257a548.png Regarding this matter, some media outlets reached out to the official TikTok account of Chery Automobile for confirmation, to which they responded, "We are not sure about this."

Additionally, in March of last year, there was a leaked internal email from Chery Automobile circulating online. The email displayed Chery's Vice General Manager, Gao Xinhua, responding to the attendance statistics for Chery's research and development on February 4th.

The email stated: "With the strugglers as the foundation, Saturday is a regular working day for strugglers." For administrative leaders, it must be a regular working day. Please find a way (to avoid legal risks) for Cui and Zhang; learn from the spirit of Huawei, encourage strugglers to work hard, and do not let them lose out! Find a solution from a mechanism perspective.

Subsequently, as this matter sparked discussion, Gao Xinhua responded by stating that the email was not aimed at ordinary employees but rather at motivating those willing to work hard, encouraging their efforts while ensuring they are not taken advantage of. The intention was not to exploit employees. s_601de13148de40259ce879aa730912a7.png
