April 3rd, according to media reports, Chery's new model Fengyun T9 will commence pre-sale on April 18th.
This mid-sized SUV comes equipped with Chery's Kunpeng Super Energy CDM hybrid system, boasting a comprehensive range of over 1400km and a pure electric range reaching 165km. The dimensions of the vehicle stand at 4795/1930/1738mm, with a wheelbase of 2770mm, positioning it as the plug-in hybrid version of the Tiggo 9. In terms of exterior design, the traditional grille has been eliminated in favor of a sleek, closed-off front end, though the headlight design remains a focal point.
The vehicle sports concealed door handles and large-sized rims on its sides, while retaining the through-type taillights at the rear. The interior design makes a bold statement with its blue and white color scheme and wood accents. The dashboard features a through-type central control screen, expected to share specifications with the Tiger 9 model.
In terms of power, it's equipped with the Chery UNI-Turbo C-DM hybrid system and an all-scenario intelligent control four-wheel-drive system.
Featuring the fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI hybrid engine, it boasts a maximum power output of 115 kW and peak torque of 220 N·m. The four-wheel-drive version comes with front and rear dual motors, offering pure electric ranges of 100km/160km respectively.
The transmission system utilizes DHT and a three-speed DHT gearbox. With a 0-100km acceleration time of 4.26 seconds for the four-wheel-drive version, it achieves a comprehensive range of over 1400km and consumes 4.2L/100km of fuel.
Overall, following its launch, the Fengyun T9 will compete with models such as the BYD Song Plus DM-i, Geely Galaxy L7, Haval Xiaolong Max, Deep Blue S7, and the Zeekr C11.
