On March 18th, at the Shenlan G318 Experience Day and Shenlan Super Extended Range Technology Evolution Day, the Shenlan G318 made its debut in a hardcore fashion.
As a new energy SUV geared towards hardcore enthusiasts, the Shenlan G318 made quite an entrance.
Upon its debut, it showcased its outstanding performance to everyone present.
Witnessing the vehicle effortlessly climb a steep slope of 60%, without any signs of power deficiency throughout the journey, was truly impressive.
It's reported that in terms of the powertrain, the G318 is equipped with the New Blue Whale power system, consisting of a 1.5T range extender and high-performance electric motors. It comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, with peak power of 185kW (rear) + 131kW (front).
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with an electric continuously variable differential lock and rear axle electric drive differential lock, as well as ET all-terrain mode, which includes 5 daily modes and 5 terrain modes, along with magic carpet, air suspension, and CDC chassis adjustment functions.
Although the vehicle doesn't opt for a body-on-frame design like traditional hardcore off-roaders to ensure comfort, the G318 boasts a body torsional stiffness of 45000Nm/deg, indicating formidable off-road capabilities.
The official announcement states that the car is expected to be officially launched for sale in the second quarter of this year, with a price tag around $300,000. Would you consider it at this price?
