In recent news from Electric Knowledge Home, on March 25th, Mr. Zeng Yuqun, the Chairman of CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited), mentioned in an interview with Bloomberg that CATL is currently providing equipment to Tesla's factory in Nevada. The two companies are also collaborating on battery technology, with a focus on developing batteries with faster charging speeds. This collaboration comes as Tesla aims to defend its market share and introduce electric vehicles priced below $25,000.

According to Mr. Zeng, there is always room to reduce costs, as indicated by Elon Musk's goal of the "$25,000 car." If the new vehicles are intended for autonomous ride-hailing services, then cost reduction becomes less of a concern. CATL batteries boast a longer lifespan, resulting in lower overall costs.

Mr. Zeng also expressed optimism about CATL's approach of licensing battery manufacturing technology to partners, charging royalties, and providing services. While CATL does have plans for a secondary listing, its strong cash flow suggests the company is not in a rush to raise additional funds and dilute existing shareholders' equity.

On the evening of March 15th, CATL disclosed its annual report for 2023. In 2023, CATL achieved a total operating income of 400.917 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 22.01%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 44.121 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 43.58%. It proposes to distribute an annual cash dividend and a special cash dividend of 50.28 CNY per 10 shares, totaling 22.06 billion CNY in cash dividends. This level of net profit encompasses the combined profits of all Chinese automotive companies, solidifying CATL's position as a leader once again. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0326%2Fb222a9d1j00saxkp9001sd200jg00g6g00it00fm.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg
