On April 22nd, BYD Motors unveiled the official images of its mid-size all-electric SUV, the Sea Lion 07EV, which is essentially a facelifted version of the Song L.
Measuring 483019251620mm with a wheelbase of 2930mm, the Sea Lion 07EV adheres to the standard dimensions of a mid-size SUV. Its interior adopts BYD's latest design language, reminiscent of the recently revealed Qin L. Featuring an integrated center console design, the dashboard hosts a full LCD instrument panel, complemented by a rotatable floating pad. This evolution signals a shift towards a more international aesthetic, aligning with major global automotive trends.
The multifunction steering wheel is four-spoke, accompanied by a compact electronic crystal gear lever. It retains an ample array of physical buttons, striking a balance between technological sophistication and user-friendliness.
It's worth noting that the car extensively uses soft materials, with leather wrapping on the door panels, steering wheel, center console, and T-shaped platform, complemented by multi-color ambient lighting, creating a strong sense of luxury reminiscent of international giants' design.
In terms of details, the Sea Lion 07EV is equipped with perforated leather seats, expected to offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions. It also comes with a branded audio system, emphasizing its quality.
According to previous reports, the Sea Lion EV07 will be equipped with BYD's "Sky God Eye" advanced intelligent driving system, featuring lane keeping, lane cruising, lever-operated lane changing, traffic sign recognition, and intelligent speed limit capabilities, which are said to comprehensively learn human driving strategies.
The vehicle will also feature rear-wheel/four-wheel drive systems, iTAC technology, and CTB integrated body technology. It is equipped with a front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, along with the Yun Nian C intelligent damping body control system. The expected price range is 200,000 to 260,000 yuan.
