Pulsestacks reported on May 14th that in response to online rumors that a man was injured and hospitalized due to a BYD vehicle leaking electricity, BYD officially responded on the afternoon of May 14th: Regarding the "electric shock" rumors, from the dashcam video, we can see that the front passenger showed no abnormal signs, the owner could also unbuckle the seatbelt and move freely. Additionally, with the vehicle's safety design of electrical potential balance and no abnormality in leakage monitoring, it is preliminarily ruled out that the vehicle leakage caused the owner's illness. It is not ruled out that the owner may have suffered a sudden cerebral hemorrhage leading to numbness in the limbs, mistakenly interpreted as an electric shock. Subsequently, the vehicle was driven away by the owner's family members. We express deep concern and condolences to the owner and their family, and are willing to actively cooperate with relevant authorities for identification and investigation.
