On May 28th, the all-new BYD Qin L DM-i was officially launched tonight, offering a total of 5 trim levels with prices ranging from 99,800 to 139,800 yuan.
The new car is positioned as a mid-size sedan, with dimensions of 4830x1900x1495mm and a wheelbase of up to 2790mm. It features BYD's iconic dragon eye headlights, a larger front grille, and a bright design on the beam above the logo.
The rear design is quite simple, with a continuous taillight that follows the family design language. The light sources on both sides are BYD's latest "Chinese knot" style, and the tailgate features the BYD logo along with the DM-i and QinL badges.
The interior design is stunning, inspired by traditional Chinese landscape paintings. It blends the elegance of Eastern landscapes with modern technology to create a sophisticated "landscape painting cabin." The standout feature is the integrated central console, where the LCD instrument panel, cloud window fan vents, and more are all seamlessly incorporated into a scroll-like long screen, providing a cocooning ambiance.
The interior also features abundant Chinese knot elements. The design of the all-new multifunction steering wheel draws inspiration from this, while the new BYD Heart crystal ball gearshift lever with facet design is equipped in the vehicle. Surrounding it are physical buttons for functions like start, shift, and driving modes, ensuring ease of use in daily operations.
In terms of configuration, the car comes standard with 13 highlighted features, including front MacPherson + new rear E-type four-link independent suspension, active air intake grille, NFC mobile phone car key, factory-installed ETC, adaptive rotating floating Pad, 8.8-inch instrument panel, 6 safety airbags, VTOL mobile power station, rear view camera, automatic air conditioning + rear air vents, one-touch up and down driver's window, tire pressure monitoring function, 6-speaker system (top configuration with 8 speakers), and more.
The high-end model, such as the 120km version, is equipped with a 22kW DC fast charging and 6.6kW AC slow charging capability, along with a panoramic sunroof for added comfort. Additionally, features like the L2 level intelligent driving assistance system - DiPilot, remote airbag deployment, front passenger 4-way power-adjustable seat, dashcam, 7kW charging pile with free installation benefits, and discharge plug sockets will also be provided.
The Qin L will be equipped with the 5th generation DM hybrid technology, consisting of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor. Compared to the fourth generation, this system has made breakthroughs in energy efficiency and intelligent control. The engine's thermal efficiency has been increased to 46.06%. By optimizing the coordination between the electric motor and the fuel engine, along with the introduction of a planetary gear system, the efficiency of both the motor and engine has been significantly improved.
The base version comes with a 10.08kWh blade battery, a motor of 120kW/210N·m, and a pure electric range of 80km under CLTC conditions. The high-end version is equipped with a 15.874kWh blade battery, a maximum motor power of 160kW/260N·m, a pure electric range of 120km under CLTC conditions, and a farthest comprehensive range of 2100km.
The Qin L with the fifth generation DM technology introduces AI into energy management. The NEDC energy consumption is 2.9L/100km, CLTC energy consumption is 10.7kWh/100km, 0-100km/h acceleration in 7.5 seconds. Media tests have shown a maximum range of over 2500km, setting a new global production record for the longest range!
