On April 15th, BYD teased its latest vehicle, the Qin L, on its official Weibo account.
The official statement indicates that the Qin L will "lead the new trend of mid-size sedans." Stay tuned for more updates.
The teaser image reveals the exterior of the Qin L, with the new car carrying forward BYD's latest Dragon Face design, retaining the signature dragon-eye headlights.
A large grille adds a sporty touch to the vehicle's appearance, while also continuing the design language of the Qin PLUS.
From a lateral perspective, the Qin L adopts a rather traditional design, including traditional-style door handles and wheel hub styling.
The rear design is clean and straightforward, featuring a continuous taillight that embodies a familial design language. The lighting elements showcase BYD's latest interpretation of the "Chinese knot" style. The tailgate is adorned with the letters "BYD" along with the badges for DM-i and Qin L.
In terms of power, the Qin L utilizes BYD's latest fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system, paired with a new hybrid-specific chassis codenamed "P5," with an engine displacement of 1498ml.
The fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system reduces the NEDC fuel consumption of the vehicle to only about 2.9 liters, compared to the current Qin PLUS which stands at 3.8 liters.
Currently, BYD has not yet officially disclosed other details of the vehicle. For more updates, we will continue to report to you.
