On April 15th, according to reports, BYD announced that its first new energy pickup truck is expected to be released within the year, featuring the DMO super hybrid off-road platform developed for global markets.

The new energy pickup truck introduced by BYD this time is the latest addition to its series of new energy vehicles. It will be powered by the DMO platform, which will provide strong power support for the vehicle to meet the driving needs under various complex road conditions.

The DMO platform is compatible with both 1.5T and 2.0T transverse engines. These engines are high-power versions specially designed for plug-in hybrids by BYD, featuring advanced technologies such as high compression ratio, high thermal efficiency, and high-pressure fuel injection systems. 2c70fc99-9ebb-4485-a032-85966064c169.png According to previously disclosed information, BYD's new energy pickup truck features a four-door, five-seat design, resembling American-style pickups with a high ground clearance and equipped with a running board. de333db3-25c6-4364-a357-1f97e78e0ea1.png The front headlights feature vertically positioned dual LED lamps, with C-shaped daytime running lights encircling them and extending across both sides.
