On March 24th, it was reported that a netizen captured spy photos of the interior of BYD's new sedan, YOYO U7. The vehicle has already been registered with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is equipped with four electric motors, with a maximum power of 1,306 horsepower, making it BYD's first 1,000 horsepower sedan.
The spy photos of the interior reveal that YOYO U7 adopts the same triple screen design as YOYO U8, continuing the interior design language of the YOYO family.
The central control screen adopts an embedded design, with the shape extending to both sides. The interior of the car has a 5-seater layout, and there is a control screen at the rear air conditioning vent, which is expected to integrate seat, air conditioning, music, and other control functions.
Underneath the central control screen, there are function buttons for "hazard lights, reverse reminder, parking assist," but they are in touch form. The air conditioning vents inside the car are designed to be hidden, expected to be integrated into the seam below the screen.
Reviewing the appearance of the new car, the U7 has a streamlined body shape when viewed from the front, while the rear features a sleek design with hidden door handles. A waistline that slopes from front to back runs through the entire body, blending into the rear fender.
In terms of dimensions, the length, width, and height of the car are 5265/1998/1517mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3160mm, indicating its positioning as a large sedan.
The front face of the U7, along with the U9, belongs to the same "Gate of Time and Space" design, with distinctive features. Similar to the U8, the front face of these three models achieves the pinnacle of recognition among domestically produced cars in recent years.
The new car can also be equipped with an electric adjustable spoiler, and the laser radar on the front roof means that advanced driver assistance features will not be absent.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with the Yi Si Fang platform and four electric motors, each with a maximum power of 326 horsepower, and a total power of 1306 horsepower.
With the arrival of the U7, BYD's high-end brand, YANG WANG, has completed the initial coverage of SUVs, sedans, and sports cars. These three models have reached the current peak level of domestic brands in terms of technology, design, and positioning.
