On April 8th, it was reported that Guinness World Records has officially recognized 111-year-old Briton, Tunstall Wood, as the world's oldest living male.

Born on August 26, 1912, in the port city of Liverpool in northwest England, Tunstall Wood has endured two world wars and holds the Guinness World Record for being the "oldest verified male World War II veteran."

Currently residing in a nursing home in the coastal town of Shoeburyness, Tunstall Wood abstains from smoking, rarely indulges in alcohol, and enjoys a traditional serving of fish and chips every Friday. He attributes his longevity to "good luck."

Offering advice to others, the centenarian emphasizes moderation in all things, stating, "Whether it's drinking too much, eating too much, or walking too much, in the end, you'll suffer."

Previously, the title of the world's oldest living male belonged to Juan Vicente Perez Mora of Venezuela, who passed away on the 2nd of this month at the age of 115, just over a month shy of his 116th birthday.

According to Guinness World Records, the current title holder for the world's oldest living female is Maria Branyas Morera of Spain, born in March 1907, and now celebrating her 117th year. s_bab5a0e36aac4929822b23087375d61c.jpg
