On April 9th, it's commonplace for smart vehicles to offer remote unlocking and starting features, and the Xiaomi SU7 is no exception.

Today, Xiaomi's automotive team explained that when you need to remotely unlock the car for someone temporarily, you can simply open the Xiaomi Car app, navigate to the vehicle page, and tap on "Unlock" under the "Car Lock" section. Alternatively, you can directly command the car to unlock by saying "Unlock the vehicle" to Xiao Ai, the virtual assistant on your smartphone.

If someone needs to temporarily drive the vehicle, you can go to the vehicle page on the Xiaomi Car app, pull down to access more vehicle control options, and tap on "Start." The other person can then start and drive the vehicle within 2 minutes by pressing the brake pedal.

Once the other person is done using the car, you can remotely lock the car using the Xiaomi Car app or Xiao Ai on your phone, thereby revoking their access to the vehicle.

Xiaomi Car stated that this setup is ideal for scenarios where others need to use the car temporarily or when you need someone to help move the vehicle, making it incredibly convenient. s_470febd7a1894198bc8c313c51e14dcd.jpg
