On April 17th in Linyi, Shandong Province, a resident's home caught fire, sparking discussions online due to the differing reactions of their Border Collie and mixed-breed dog.

During the incident, a resident accidentally left the stove on while cooking, causing the oil in the pot to overheat and ignite a fire.

Upon detecting the fire, the Border Collie immediately sounded alarm barks to alert the female homeowner.

Upon hearing the warning, the homeowner hurried back to the kitchen and swiftly threw the burning pot outside, successfully preventing the fire from spreading. The startled Border Collie then retreated to the outdoor air conditioner unit in the yard, only emerging once the danger had passed, which took approximately half an hour.

Commendably, there was also a mixed-breed mother dog in the house who chose to stay indoors during the fire to protect her seven recently born puppies.

After the incident, the homeowner remarked that in times of danger, the Border Collie always positions itself behind her.

Netizens chimed in on the event, with some joking about the Border Collie's intelligence making it unsuitable for police work, as it seems to have its own judgment and thoughts. s_2e5aed2afc334b4c805bbb6485789c64.png
