On March 15th, it was revealed during the 3.15 Evening Gala that there are issues with the transmission shaft noise in the BMW 530Li. In response, the official statement from BMW Group reads:

According to reports from the CCTV 315 Evening Gala, many owners of the new BMW 530Li have experienced abnormal sounds from the transmission shaft shortly after taking delivery of their cars, with a metallic friction noise coming from the bottom of the vehicle.
Service personnel have confirmed the issue as abnormal sounds from the transmission shaft, and some authorized dealerships have proposed replacing the transmission shaft and offering a compensation of 2000 CNY to the owners as a solution.
However, some owners are concerned that replacing the transmission shaft on a new car could depreciate its resale value, and as a result, they are unwilling to accept this solution. Some owners have even demanded to return or exchange their cars, but the dealerships have refused to do so.
Furthermore, BMW has faced transmission shaft problems in the past, leading to multiple recalls. However, prior to the CCTV 315 Evening Gala report, BMW had not provided a direct response to owners regarding the "transmission shaft abnormal noise" issue.
