[CNMO Tech News] The highly anticipated Huawei Pure70 series is likely to be available on Huawei Mall tomorrow (April 18) through the "Pioneer Program." However, on April 17, CNMO learned that some digital bloggers have stated that in order to prevent scalping, offline booking of the Huawei Pure70 series now requires ID registration to avoid penalties for trafficking in goods.
Additionally, according to staff at the Huawei Smart Life Pavilion, they have received pre-order requests from over 200 consumers. The known phone models currently include the Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra. While consumers can register their interest in advance, they still need to queue and there is no guarantee of immediate availability at the time of sale. Staff anticipate that there will be news of the sale soon, possibly as early as the near future or as late as the end of April to early May for availability.
Regarding prices, preliminary estimates provided by Huawei store staff are as follows: "The Pura 70 is expected to be priced at around 6000 yuan, the Pura 70 Pro+ at around 8000 yuan, and the Pura 70 Ultra at around 10000 yuan, with the highest configuration priced at no more than 12,000 yuan."
Market research firms are optimistic about the shipment volume of the Huawei Pura 70 series. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from TF International Securities predicts on social media that compared to the P60 series released in 2023, the shipment volume of the Pura 70 series will significantly increase in 2024. If there is strong demand to replenish smartphone inventory, the shipment volume of Pura 70 is expected to achieve a growth of 230%, reaching 13 to 15 million units; even if demand slows down, the shipment volume is expected to achieve a growth of 150%, reaching 10 to 12 million units.
Kuo further points out that the main highlight of the Pura 70 series is its periscope telephoto lens technology; and the wide-angle camera of the Pura 70 Art adopts a 1G6P wave-plastic hybrid lens, which, due to the use of molded glass, has a unit price 4 to 5 times that of a 7P lens.
