As of March 18th, in the midst of intensifying price wars in the new energy vehicle market, which have already seized market share from domestic joint venture models, various joint venture brands have begun to retaliate by lowering prices.

Recently, a poster shared by a blogger revealed that Beijing Hyundai has significantly reduced prices for multiple models under the slogan "All Models Engaged, More Powerful than Gas, Even Lower than Electric." s_9ab818084bb0466db40521b397155577.jpg

  • The starting price for the brand-new Hyundai Elantra has dropped to as low as 75,800 CNY, down by 24,000 CNY from the previous price range of 99,800 to 149,800 CNY.

  • Beijing Hyundai's upgraded ix3 variant, the Musa, now starts at 99,800 CNY, reduced by 22,000 CNY compared to its listed price of 121,800 CNY, slipping into the sub-100,000 CNY bracket.

  • As for Beijing Hyundai's mid-size SUV, the Santa Fe, its starting price has plummeted to 166,000 CNY, down by 36,800 CNY from the listed price of 202,800 CNY.

However, unlike new energy vehicles, purchasers of conventional fuel vehicles from Beijing Hyundai will still need to pay a vehicle purchase tax. Taking the 75,800 CNY Elantra as an example, buyers would need to pay at least 7,000 CNY in purchase tax, which doesn't offer a significant price advantage compared to the 79,800 CNY Qin PLUS DM-i Honor Edition.

Nevertheless, for those intending to buy traditional fuel cars, this significant price drop from Beijing Hyundai presents a good opportunity to make a purchase. s_7afe1ba360d54103a9e4ce9f12e5fafc.png
