On April 15th, under the guidance of the Chaoyang Park Management Committee of Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, the opening ceremony of the Chaoyang District Xingdi AI Application Incubator was successfully held in Beijing, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence industry in Chaoyang District.

Feng Shaojing, Deputy Director of the Chaoyang Park Management Committee of Zhongguancun and Director of the Chaoyang District Bureau of Science, Technology, and Information Technology, stated that Chaoyang District is building a "3+X" digital economy industrial cluster with artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, and digital security as its core. In this process, Chaoyang has gradually explored the "Chaoyang Model" with the industry application of artificial intelligence as the core mainline, aiming to promote the innovation and development of the artificial intelligence industry and enhance the quality and efficiency of traditional industries.

Duan Feifei, Deputy Director of the Chaoyang Park Management Committee of Zhongguancun, expressed that Chaoyang District's attitude towards developing the artificial intelligence industry is resolute, with comprehensive measures and rich scenarios. Industry experts, investors, and various sectors of society are welcome to integrate into Chaoyang's industrial ecology, working together with the Chaoyang District government to create a preferred environment for artificial intelligence entrepreneurship and development.

To support Chaoyang District in building an artificial intelligence industry ecosystem driven by industry applications and deepen the understanding of AI application areas among startups, several guests shared their insights on AI applications and large-scale model implementation at the event.

Zhu Xiaohu, Managing Partner of Jinshajiang Venture Capital, believes that large-scale models experienced a surge in 2023 and have gradually transitioned to the application layer in 2024. Currently, generative AI has unleashed tremendous potential value in key areas such as B-end sales and marketing, customer operations, and product development. However, killer applications for the C-end are still in the early stages. He suggests that startups focus on vertical fields, strengthen vertical models based on user feedback, establish long-term barriers through data loops, and achieve revenue growth and long-term profitability.

Chen Yuqiang, Co-founder and Chief Scientist of Fourth Paradigm, explained that the principle of large language models is to continuously predict the next word based on historical words, or in simpler terms, "Predict the Next 'Word'." However, various industries often face complex scenarios that are not simply textual, and what industries need is not just predicting the next word, but predicting the next "X," which may include hydrological data, health reports, equipment monitoring data, design deduction, etc. Prophet AIOS 5.0 further enhances the ability to predict the next "X" based on modal data from various industries, building industry-based large models.

Yi Rangyue, Chairman of Rui Bo Technology Holdings, mentioned that the breakthrough of large-scale model technology marks the arrival of the era of strong artificial intelligence and general artificial intelligence. Therefore, exploring the application of new generation artificial intelligence technologies, especially large-scale model technology, is particularly important in the industry. For entrepreneurs, he believes they should proceed step by step, closely following the global and national development trends and business models.

At the event, in order to better serve AI application startups in Chaoyang District, representatives from Alibaba Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Innoangel Fund, and Lococo participated in the establishment ceremony of the "AI+" Ecological Service Alliance and released the first batch of resource lists. The ecological service alliance will provide comprehensive incubation support for startups from technical support, computing resources, industry consulting, to scenario applications.

Representatives of the "AI+" Ecological Service Alliance awarded admission certificates to member companies of the Xingdi AI Application Incubator. Among over a hundred registered projects, 30 were selected for incubation support, with 38% of them having obtained financing and 62% possessing self-sustaining capabilities. These startups focus on AI application enterprises and have customer cases in dozens of fields including entertainment, cultural tourism, education, marketing, retail, psychology, and industry.

It is understood that the Xingdi AI Application Incubator is an AI application innovation incubator project initiated by Fushi Investment and Shuzhiyun Technology in Beijing under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Zhongguancun Management Committee, and the Chaoyang District Government. This project aims to promote the application of AI technology in startups, business expansion, and industry empowerment, helping companies grow rapidly, integrate into the AI industry ecosystem driven by industry applications, and contribute to the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center and the benchmark city of global digital economy.
