Beijing's Huairou District Launches Large-Scale Theme Interview Event for 2024

On March 27th, Huairou District in Beijing kicked off the "Telling Stories of High-Quality Development, Gathering Strength for a New Journey – Exploring Huairou with Soaring Wings" large-scale theme interview event at the main facility area of the High-Energy Synchrotron Radiation Source. "Conducting large-scale thematic interview activities is a crucial approach for us to strengthen the top-level design and systematically plan the work of guiding public opinion throughout the year. Building upon last year's efforts, this year's large-scale thematic interview activities will continue to organize central and local media outlets to conduct multimedia reporting through on-site interviews, field visits, live broadcasts, interactive connections, and other forms. Simultaneously, we will further innovate the forms of reporting, highlight the advantages of new media, strengthen international communication capabilities, and strive to tell the story of Huairou's high-quality development," said Zhang Jiawei, Deputy Minister of the Propaganda Department of Huairou District Committee.

This year's thematic interview focuses on eight aspects. Under the theme of "Focusing on the Construction of Beautiful Huairou and Telling the Story of Rural Revitalization," we have designed four lines of investigation and 22 key points, aiming to further tap into interview resources and consistently showcase the vitality of rural revitalization in Huairou.

During the launch ceremony, in order to help central and local media better understand the key work of Huairou District, responsible comrades in various key fields transformed into "promotion officials," vividly demonstrating the interview resources in their respective areas to the attending journalists.

"This year, the High-Energy Synchronous Radiation Light Source will emit light, the Multi-Modal Cross-Scale Biomedical Imaging Facility, Phase II of the Meridian Project, and other projects will be fully accelerated for acceptance and put into formal operation," said Zhang Jin, Deputy Director of the Communication, Cooperation, and Talent Work Office of the Huairou Science City Management Committee. "We hope to have more journalist friends join us in enhancing the visibility and influence of Huairou Science City."

A news and publicity cooperation mechanism leading the integrated development of the Science City was announced on-site. This year, led by the Propaganda Department of Huairou District Committee, a "1+4+N" news and publicity cooperation system will be established, coordinating resources from all sectors of the district to organize a professional news and publicity force, four key departments, as well as various towns, streets, other district-level departments, research institutes in Huairou, enterprises, universities, innovation and entrepreneurship entities, etc., to jointly carry out news and publicity work.

"Each subject of the cooperation system will jointly implement five mechanisms: information exchange, regular scheduling, thematic planning, pairing assistance, and business training, forming a coordinated publicity force," said Zhang Jiawei.

The mechanism has received positive responses from all subjects of the cooperation system. As the signing representative, Pan Weimin, the Chief Commander of the High-Energy Synchronous Radiation Light Source Project at the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said, "This year, our project team will tackle the task of storing ring tuning and launching the 'first beam of light.' We welcome media at all levels to continue paying attention to the High-Energy Synchronous Radiation Light Source. We will cooperate from multiple dimensions to enable more people to understand the progress of building Asia's first fourth-generation synchrotron light source and to focus on the construction progress of this 'national major instrument'."
