On April 24th, with the rapid development of AI technologies like ChatGPT, the deployment of large models is spreading from the cloud to devices, with commonly used PCs and smartphones becoming the main carriers.

Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing stated that due to factors such as computing power, currently, PCs are the best carriers for running AI agents.

It's not just Lenovo; globally, major PC manufacturers and smartphone manufacturers involved in PC business see AI PCs as an opportunity not to be missed.

With the blessing of AI, PCs are no longer just traditional computers but are being redefined as intelligent personal assistants. From chips and systems to terminals, the entire PC industry chain is being reconstructed by AI.

According to IDC forecasts, the assembly ratio of new AI PCs in the Chinese market is expected to reach 85% by 2027. However, in terms of pricing, current AI PC prices are significantly higher than traditional PCs.

For example, the Yoga Book 9i is priced at 17,999 yuan, the ThinkPad T14p at 14,999 yuan, the Yoga Pro 16s at 13,999 yuan, and the ThinkBook 16p at 10,999 yuan.

In response to this, Chen Shuxin, Senior Research Manager at IDC China, said that high prices are definitely an issue for AI PCs. The performance improvement of AI PCs will demand more from hardware such as chips, storage, batteries, and cooling, which will further increase prices.

Lenovo's Liu Jun stated, "AI PCs are currently considered high-end products. We have already initiated cooperation and negotiations with the supply chain to drive the industry chain to make AI PCs into a mainstream PC price segment as soon as possible." s_27f85eb4d40e4caba823f6e2b9f00c04.jpg
