On April 10th, according to media reports, the Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle Project has entered the trial operation phase.

This project marks Audi's first production base in China for manufacturing pure electric vehicle models.

Once completed and put into operation, the project will become Audi's first production base in China to achieve "carbon neutrality," with an annual production capacity of up to 150,000 vehicles.

The project was established as a joint venture in 2021 by Audi, Volkswagen China, and FAW, with Audi holding a 55% stake.

At the end of January this year, Audi FAW New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. announced that its first Audi Q6 e-tron pre-production vehicle had officially rolled off the line, indicating that the new model had entered the pre-production stage.

Audi FAW New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. will introduce the Audi PPE pure electric platform and develop three models specifically for the Chinese market based on this platform, including the Audi A6 e-tron and Audi Q6 e-tron series. s_b864458719c4464a92bf764a62f465b4.png
