On April 14th, according to an announcement from "CNOOC" official WeChat account, China's first independently designed and implemented ultra-deep large displacement well, the A1H well in the Enping 21-4 oilfield, was successfully put into production in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, with a test daily crude oil production exceeding 700 tons.

It is reported that the well has a drilling depth of 9,508 meters and a horizontal displacement of 8,689 meters, making it the deepest well in China's offshore waters. It also sets a record for the horizontal length of drilling in China, marking China's successful breakthrough in the technical bottleneck of ten-thousand-meter-level large displacement wells. The offshore ultra-long and ultra-deep drilling technology has entered the forefront of the world.

The Enping 21-4 oilfield is located in the sea about 200 kilometers southwest of Shenzhen, with an average water depth of about 86 meters. It is a small sandstone marginal oilfield. In the past, the development of such oilfields has often been plagued by technical difficulties and economic issues. However, through the use of ultra-deep large displacement well technology, CNOOC has successfully realized the efficient development of the oilfield, with a test daily crude oil production of over 700 tons, demonstrating enormous development potential.

It is worth mentioning that the successful production of the ultra-deep large displacement well in the Enping 21-4 oilfield has not only refreshed four national records but also produced five categories and thirteen technological achievements.

What's even more exciting is that the localization rate of materials and equipment used in this well has reached 95%, fully demonstrating China's independent innovation capability and strength in the field of marine engineering technology.

Looking ahead, the widespread application of this technology is expected to play an important role in the exploitation of oil and gas resources within a range of ten thousand meters of production platforms, further improving the development efficiency of oil and gas fields. At the same time, it will also have a profound impact on promoting the increase in oil and gas reserves and production, ensuring national energy security. s_45234aa2d944469ca2eec45898903760.jpg
