On May 27th, Dong Mingzhu mentioned in a recent interview that she hasn't taken a break in over thirty years. She stated that if employees desire a leisurely life, they can submit a resignation report.
For those solely focused on salary increases, Dong Mingzhu is not favorable, as she believes income should be based on contribution, which is common sense.
Dong Mingzhu expressed, "I don't think it's right to only care about the salary. When you come to a company, what reason do you have to tell me how much money you should earn? If I say my annual salary should be 50 million, would you hire me?"
Regarding whether young people nowadays are more inclined towards the internet and finance rather than manufacturing, Dong Mingzhu mentioned, "I hire seven to eight thousand people every year, all born after 2000."
She emphasized that these young people are fundamentally similar to how she was back then.
"We shouldn't generalize and criticize all young people. There are still many outstanding young individuals. The university students we hired from the 2000s are now in leadership positions, even those born in the 1995s. Is that not successful? Therefore, we shouldn't have a negative attitude towards this era because it's always changing."
Regarding employees hitting a wall at 35, where many companies may no longer hire individuals of that age, Dong Mingzhu remarked, "You can start your own business. No one is hiring you, so start your own venture."
With the recent popularity of the drama "My Aletai," many people aspire to a more leisurely life. Dong Mingzhu stated, "You can submit a resignation report, go back and relax, no problem. I think it's your choice. Just like me, who hasn't taken a break in over thirty years. Do you think it's a loss or a wrong choice? Personally, I feel very happy. Happiness has no standard; it comes from within."
Dong Mingzhu added, "Many say that young people nowadays are 'lying flat.' Have your young friends around you 'lied flat'? If not, it proves that most people are not 'lying flat.' In life, success comes from giving more, and the more you give, the greater the chance of success. Without effort and struggle, you won't feel happiness."
