In a revelation made by insider Mark Gurman on April 8th, it's anticipated that the iPad Pro 2024 will make its grand debut in the second week of May, marking a significant milestone as the most powerful iPad in Apple's history.
The all-new iPad Pro 2024 is set to feature an OLED display for the first time, incorporating dual-stack OLED panels. This innovative screen architecture boasts two emitter layers, doubling the brightness compared to single-stack OLED panels, while extending the lifespan by fourfold.
With the adoption of OLED technology, the iPad Pro 2024 sees notable improvements in size. The 11-inch version boasts a body thickness of merely 5.1mm, shaving off 0.8mm from its predecessor, while the 13-inch variant measures a mere 5.0mm in thickness, a reduction of 1.4mm compared to the previous generation.
Beyond the screen enhancements, the iPad Pro will also be powered by the M3 chip, utilizing TSMC's cutting-edge 3nm process and integrating a staggering 25 billion transistors. Its single-core performance surpasses the M2 by 17%, multi-core performance by 21%, with GPU performance seeing a 15% boost.
Of noteworthy mention, the upcoming event will simultaneously introduce two new iPad Air models equipped with the M2 chip, a redesigned Magic Keyboard tailored for the iPad Pro, and a fresh iteration of the Apple Pencil.
