On April 18th, it was announced by Ge Yue, Managing Director of Greater China at Apple, that the China Clean Energy Fund has exceeded its goals by investing in over 1 gigawatt of wind and solar projects in China.

Apple takes pride in collaborating closely with its suppliers, employing innovative methods to accelerate the development of renewable energy in China.

It's understood that in 2018, Apple creatively assisted 12 suppliers operating in China to access renewable energy resources through the China Clean Energy Fund.

Currently, the fund has surpassed its objectives by investing in over 1 gigawatt of wind and solar projects across 14 provinces in China.

These projects are expected to provide over 24 billion kilowatt-hours of renewable energy annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 2.5 million people in China.

As of now, Apple's global operations and manufacturing supply chain utilize over 18 gigawatts of clean electricity, more than triple the amount in 2020.

Apple aims to achieve carbon neutrality throughout its entire value chain by 2030 as part of its ambitious goals for 2030.

As part of Apple's 2030 objectives, the company urges its global suppliers to use clean energy and aims to make all Apple-related operations carbon neutral. s_ebdccf66f7ab4b269bfde13324dfb7af.png
