Apple has closed the signing window for iOS 16.7.6, effectively blocking downgrades for iPhone users who have updated to iOS 16.7.7.

The update is applicable to iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. It's a minor update, and the entire installation process takes about 8-10 minutes.

iOS 16.7.7 is currently the only supported version in the iOS 16 branch, meaning that users encountering issues cannot roll back through downgrading and must wait for Apple to release the next update.

Apple has not yet confirmed the release date for iOS 16.7.8, but it is estimated to be launched in May.
