Reports on March 8th reveal that iOS 17.4 introduces sideloading capabilities in the European Union, in compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Apple is expected to make further adjustments and changes to iOS in the future to comply with DMA regulations.

In its DMA compliance report, Apple mentions that iPhone users will soon be able to effortlessly migrate data from their iPhones to non-Apple devices, indicating that iPhone data will seamlessly transfer to Android smartphones. s_398a7df83d664e62940962f96f738179.png Apple has announced that its engineering team is developing a solution to facilitate the transfer of data from iPhones to non-iPhone devices, set to be launched in the fall of 2025.

This upcoming solution will make it easier for Samsung and Google phone users to migrate their data from iPhones, simplifying the process of switching devices.

Industry insiders point out that the core objective of the EU's Digital Markets Act is to end the monopolistic behavior of major platforms. Under this legislation, applications owned by these tech giants will be required to be "interoperable" with competitors, meaning these companies will need to open up their app interfaces to interact with other applications, making it more convenient for users. s_1dc62d46d77f45c482ba69c61fd2f1fa.png
