According to a recent disclosure from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Apple has been granted a new patent for its Vision Pro, aiming to reduce distractions for wearers by enhancing the "Focus Mode" through dynamic environmental enhancements. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0402%2F9bab70c6j00sbafzj001kd000xc00hig.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg According to the patent description, the "Focus Mode" on Vision Pro can dynamically adjust based on the wearer's surroundings, immersing them more deeply into the virtual world.

Apple's Vision Pro headset currently features a manually activated "Focus Mode," but the latest patent, titled "Operational Mode for Reducing Distractions in Augmented Reality Environments," aims for a more flexible, dynamic adjustment into the "Focus Mode," assisting wearers in maintaining attention during prolonged headset use.

Apple outlines various implementation methods in the patent, such as built-in sensors to detect whether the wearer meets the preset requirements for "Focus Mode." The headset can then read the focus state and offer a range of focus mode options, allowing users to better immerse themselves in spatial computing.

The patent describes, "Upon activation of the Focus Mode, the system may use a first set of sensors to receive imaging data of the user's surrounding physical environment and employ imaginary data to identify target objects associated with the selected distraction type."
