On March 9th, reports from domestic media suggest that the price of the Xiaomi SU7 has once again surfaced online, but it seems highly improbable.
According to the leaked price chart, the Xiaomi SU7 starts at 260,000 CNY and goes up to 360,000 CNY for the top configuration, drawing attention from netizens.
Some netizens express disbelief that Lei Jun would price it this way, as it seems to push potential buyers towards competitors. Others speculate that there might be multiple versions of the Xiaomi SU7, suggesting that if true, there could be even cheaper versions available.
Previously, several price charts of the Xiaomi SU7 have been leaked, with variations like four configurations starting at 219,000 CNY, among others. However, the official response quickly dismissed these as false.
According to the information at the time, Xiaomi's car factory was set to launch its first vehicle in March 2024, with deliveries starting in April. The projected production for the first quarter was around 2,000 vehicles, with an estimated value of 400 million CNY. Based on a simple calculation, the average price of these 2,000 Xiaomi cars would be in the range of 200,000 CNY.
However, Xiaomi's official spokesperson denied the validity of this dramatic claim. The spokesperson stated that upon thorough investigation, the information was completely false, and there were no such "surveys" or estimations regarding production volume and value.
