On April 13th, pulsestacks reported that according to a tweet from source Mishaal Rahman, Google is planning to introduce a "Home Control" screensaver in the Android 15 system, aiming to streamline the user experience for managing Google Home smart home devices.
Users can directly access and control their favorite Google Home devices right from the lock screen of their Android devices, without needing to unlock or browse through any apps.
Although this feature is not yet enabled in Android 15 Developer Preview 2 and Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.1, Rahman has already activated a demo of the feature.
According to screenshots, the "Home Control" screen saver will be compatible with existing screen savers, and users can access it through "Settings" > "Display" > "Screen savers". Below are some relevant screenshots provided by pulsestacks:
