[CNMO News] Recently, an analysis firm released a data report on the Indian smartphone market for the first quarter of 2024. The data indicates intense competition in the Indian market during Q1 2024, with Samsung, Xiaomi, and vivo leading the pack, but with little to no clear winner emerging.
In Q1 2024, the Indian market witnessed a surge in smartphone sales, reaching 35.3 million units, up by nearly 5 million from Q1 2023, marking a 15% increase. Among the top contenders, Samsung claimed the lead with shipments totaling 6.7 million units, followed closely by Xiaomi at 6.4 million and vivo at 6.2 million. OPPO (excluding OnePlus) recorded 3.7 million shipments, while realme stood at 3.4 million.
This year, the AI features in the Samsung S24 have attracted considerable attention from users, leading to impressive pre-sales figures for this model. Meanwhile, products like the Redmi 13C 5G and the Redmi Note 13 5G series have bolstered Xiaomi's 5G strategy in the Indian market. Additionally, Motorola, Infinix, and Apple all saw double-digit growth, with the iPhone 15 standing out thanks to multiple price cuts and promotional campaigns.
