On May 28th, there were indications suggesting that the next-generation desktop processors from AMD and Intel might not be released until the fourth quarter, with only preview information expected at the Taipei Computer Show. However, it seems like AMD might be ahead of schedule.

The latest leak suggests that AMD will officially unveil the new desktop processors based on the Zen5 architecture during the Taipei Computer Show, expected to be named the Ryzen 9000 series.

In terms of specifications, the initial launch will include versions with 16 cores, 12 cores, 8 cores, and 6 cores. If everything goes smoothly, they will be named Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 5 9600X respectively. s_6b932bd9bf224f2e8329fecc6cc34bf4.jpg It is worth mentioning that the Ryzen 9000 series will not feature a big.LITTLE core design, but will instead consist of all large cores based on Zen5 architecture.

Of course, in the lower-end models for mobile devices, AMD will utilize a combination of Zen5 and Zen5c. Similar to the current Zen4 and Zen4c, the differences lie mainly in the size of the L3 cache and power efficiency, unlike Intel where the architecture, instruction set, and performance are completely different.

As for the mainstream models without the X suffix, and the gaming models with 3D cache enhancements, they are likely to be introduced in subsequent releases.

Regarding the motherboard chipsets, AMD has decided to skip the 700 series and directly name the new series as the 800 series, such as X870 and B850, aiming to achieve "the same level" as Intel. s_9f8e46bbd324410a9d30d4cadd15f911.png
