In the first quarter of 2024, AMD reported revenue of $54.73 billion, a 2% year-over-year increase, and a net profit of $1.23 billion, marking a significant 188% year-over-year growth. The EPYC, Ryzen processors, and Instinct accelerators all performed well, while the graphics cards and embedded business segments faced challenges.

AMD explicitly stated in their financial report that the next-generation mobile Ryzen processor based on the Zen5 architecture, codenamed "Strix Point," and the next-generation data center processor, codenamed "Turin," are both set to be released as scheduled in the second half of this year. s_f0a3a4d12ff449ddac515d2976842cf4.jpg Zen5's desktop version Granite Ridge is not explicitly mentioned, but it will definitely make its debut later this year, forming the new generation trio.

By early next year, there will also be the equally Zen5 architecture but more powerful flagship mobile version Stirx Halo.

According to Su Zifeng, for AI PC products, the Strix series is very suitable for the high-end market, and by 2025, everyone will see (Zen5) will be popularized throughout the entire product line. s_e5c4cbd094dc43c98ae14112d003ef86.png From the current leaks, Strix Point is expected to have up to 12 CPU cores, including 4 Zen5 and 8 Zen5c cores, along with 16 RDNA3+ GPU units and XDNA2 NPU units.

Strix Halo is rumored to feature 6-16 Zen5 CPU cores, 20-40 RDNA3 GPU cores, with some claims suggesting that the performance of the 40-core variant could rival that of the mobile version of the RTX 4070, while the 32 and 24-core variants could be comparable to the mobile versions of the RTX 4060/4050.

Believe it or not, I personally remain skeptical... s_dccaec78297e421584dfa02684014d42.png
