According to a report from Videocardz on May 21st, AMD has announced the launch of the EPYC Milan-X 4004 series processors today. These processors are based on the AM5 platform, offering up to 16 cores, with some models featuring 3D V-Cache technology.
AMD compares the EPYC 4004 series with the Xeon E-2400 series processors, claiming to offer up to twice the number of cores, a 42% higher base frequency, higher boost frequencies, and up to 5 times more L3 cache.
The EPYC 4004 series processor features Zen 4 cores, offering up to 28 PCIe 5.0 lanes, with a target TDP of 65W-170W. It supports dual-channel DDR5 5200 ECC memory and is compatible with the LGA 1718 (AM5) socket.
