On May 26th, there was anticipation for the next generation of graphics cards, but it seems that AMD's RDNA3 RX 7000 series family has a new member - the unique RX 7650M XT (which may also be known as RX 7650 XT), specifically designed for external GPUs.
This information comes from the OEM manufacturer Aoostar, revealing that it will debut in July without specific specifications, only mentioning similarities to the OneXGPU and the availability of different versions.
The OneXGPU by OneX is an external dedicated graphics card solution, featuring an integrated RX 7600M XT GPU with 2048 stream processors, 128-bit 8GB GDDR6 memory, a default power consumption of 100W, and a peak power consumption of up to 120W.
From the revealed product images, the Tianbao RX 7650M XT external graphics card has a design resembling a small mini PC, with a stand at the bottom, large heat dissipation grilles on both sides, and multiple I/O interfaces on the side.
The specific specifications of the RX 7650M XT are not detailed, but it is speculated to be based on the Navi 33 core. The specifications are expected to be slightly enhanced compared to the RX 7600M XT, possibly featuring higher frequencies or increased power consumption.
Unlike their competitive pricing advantage in desktops, AMD graphics cards have not made much of an impact in laptops. The flagship RX 7900M has only one product available so far, and the mid-range Navi 32 core has yet to be utilized.
