AMD has officially released the Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F processors, both based on the Hawk Point chip and featuring the Zen 4 architecture cores. These processors are essentially versions of the Ryzen 8000G series processors without integrated graphics. Earlier reports suggested that these processors might be exclusive to the OEM market, but the latest news indicates that AMD may have had a change of heart. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0424%2Fcb136435j00scfwkh002gd000k00099m.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg According to overseas sources, AMD is planning to release boxed retail versions globally for the Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F. The specific launch timing is currently unclear. The official OPN codes (100-100001590BOX and 100-100001591BOX respectively) can already be found on the AMD official website, indicating that this plan is at least under consideration.

The Ryzen 7 8700F is essentially the Ryzen 7 8700G without integrated graphics. It still features 8 cores and 16 threads, with 8MB of L2 cache and 16MB of L3 cache. The core frequency ranges from 4.1 to 5.0GHz, slightly lower than the 4.2 to 5.1GHz of the 8700G. It retains the NPU and supports Ryzen AI. The Ryzen 5 8400F is derived from the Ryzen 5 8600G, featuring 6 cores and 12 threads, with 6MB of L2 cache and 16MB of L3 cache. Its core frequency is 4.2 to 4.7GHz, a decrease from the 4.3 to 5.0GHz of the 8600G. Additionally, the 8400F lacks NPU and Ryzen AI support.
