AMD's major AI PC Innovation Summit was held in Beijing, China, on March 21st. Here's a quick glimpse, with more details to follow.
AMD's Chair and CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, and Senior Vice President of GPU Technology and Engineering, Wang Qichang, led a high-level presence, with industry partners showcasing the impressive applications of AMD's AI PCs.
In his opening remarks, Peter Pan, AMD SVP and President of Greater China, said that the AMD AI PC has the right time, place, and people in China. It coincides with the Jiachen Dragon Year, which is also the year of the AI PC taking off. The entire industry is promoting innovation, technology, and collaboration for the AI PC.
In her speech, Lisa Su emphasized that AMD not only empowers the digital lives of billions of people worldwide, but also remains committed to the Greater China region. This includes establishing major R&D centers, AI innovation labs, enabling hyperscale enterprises, and fostering joint development and ecosystem building.
AMD boasts an end-to-end AI infrastructure comprising CPU, GPU, and NPU, spanning cloud, HPC, enterprise, embedded systems, and PCs. Notably, the addition of NPU has brought unprecedented opportunities for AI PCs, and AMD has garnered the ecosystem support of over 150 ISV software partners, including numerous Chinese vendors and applications.
At the summit, AMD and its partners showcased AI PC applications covering various industries, including office collaboration, gaming entertainment, productivity creation, industry applications, and more.
