On April 23rd, the 2024 Guangzhou Toyota was officially launched, offering a total of 9 models with prices ranging from 299,800 to 410,800 yuan.
However, GAC Toyota stated that in order to fully repay Chinese customers and bring the best Senna globally, all models will have an official discount of 25,000 yuan (with the highest suggested retail price reduced by up to 10,000 yuan, and a 15,000 yuan discount available through the official App reservation rights, provided by authorized dealerships in various regions).
After comprehensive discounts, the price range for domestic customers to purchase the Senna has dropped to 284,800 to 395,800 yuan.
The new version of the Saina, as a facelift model, introduces the E-Four four-wheel-drive model, upgrades some models with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset, and also sees upgrades to the second-row seats.
In terms of appearance, the new car largely continues the design of the 2023 model, with some adjustments to the chrome-plated trim on the front end, giving the front face a more refined look.
The interior layout remains largely unchanged, but in the base models, the 8-inch central control screen has been upgraded to 10.25 inches, while higher-end versions boast a 12.3-inch display. Some models have also been equipped with the Snapdragon 8155 chip, enabling support for Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, and Baidu CarLife, three major smartphone connectivity systems.
The vehicle now features second-row integrated aviation seats, equipped with three-level ventilation and heating, a 16-point massage function, as well as six convenient features including electric adjustment, flip-up cup holders, and integrated small table boards.
In terms of power, the 2024 Sena is equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a 2.5L engine and electric motors. The engine delivers a maximum power of 139 kilowatts and peak torque of 236 Newton meters, while the front motor boasts a maximum power of 134 kilowatts and peak torque of 270 Newton meters. The four-wheel-drive version will have an additional motor on the rear axle.
Moreover, despite the current focus of the domestic automotive industry shifting towards new energy vehicles, Toyota's Sena remains a popular star in the domestic MPV market.
Industry sales data reveals that in March, the Sena sold 6730 units, ranking third in MPV sales, trailing only behind the BYD Tang D9 and the Buick GL8.
