Recent data indicates the joint venture between Huawei and Seres, AITO, is a smash hit in Shanxi.
According to sales associates in-store, the demand for large SUVs in Taiyuan, Shanxi, clearly surpasses other regions.
Data indicates that the AITO M7 was the best-selling model priced at over 300,000 RMB in February 2024 in the Shanxi market, with total sales reaching 556 units.
Meanwhile, Tesla Model Y, the world's best-selling pure electric model, recorded only 218 sales, less than half of AITO M7's sales, and the Li Xiang L7 had monthly sales of 200 units. Additionally, Toyota Sienna sold 145 units, Li Xiang L9 sold 114 units, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class sold 102 units.
In terms of new energy vehicle brands, AITO Auto ranked first in the Shanxi market with 606 units sold in February 2024.
Other new energy vehicle brands had the following sales figures:
- Li Auto: 404 units
- Denza Auto: 100 units
- Leapmotor: 89 units
- NIO: 59 units
- Nezha Auto: 43 units
- ZEEKR: 42 units
- Geometry: 41 units
- Lantu Auto: 24 units
- Zhiji Motors: 19 units
Despite the asking price for the AITO M7 being over 200,000 RMB, it outsold lower-priced models like the BYD Qin PLUS and BYD Song PLUS in the Shanxi auto market in February 2024.
Other popular models include the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, BYD Destroyer 05, and BYD Seagull.
