Have you ever gone to great lengths for some pocket money? Well, Japanese netizen @Tomo/Yasu certainly did. It took him three weeks, but he managed to piece together a shredded 10,000 Yen bill.
It all started when his father forgot there was a 10,000 Yen note in an envelope and accidentally shredded it with a paper shredder.
Feeling sorry for the money, his dad realized they had a son who could potentially fix it. So, he brought all the shredded paper home and promised to give it to him if he could successfully reconstruct the bill.
Searching for a torn piece of paper in a pile of shredded paper is like finding a needle in a haystack. But for the sake of some pocket money, this young man embarked on the puzzle challenge and miraculously found the needle in the haystack.
Although many pieces were missing, luckily the bank didn't give him a hard time. Based on the area he managed to reconstruct, they exchanged it for a new bill.
Previously, KyoMaru also introduced other money puzzle enthusiasts. There was a couple in a tougher situation; they lost $4,000 as their cash was completely devoured by their dog.
While the dog didn't shred the money, they had to wait for the dog to defecate or vomit so they could collect the cash fragments and slowly piece the bills back together.
In conclusion, when it comes to money matters, people will truly go to great lengths.
