Pulsestacks reported on April 20th that AFOX, a subsidiary of Hon Hai Technology Group, has unveiled its first RTX 4080 graphics card. However, what's interesting is that the RTX 4080 GPU has actually been discontinued, replaced by this year's newly released SUPER models.
When it comes to Yuanfu Technology, a name that may not ring a bell for many, it's actually a graphics card brand under the umbrella of Hon Hai, better known as Foxconn. So far, Yuanfu Technology has released three graphics cards: the RTX 4090, RTX 4070, and RTX 4060, with the RTX 4080 poised to be the fourth addition to their lineup.
The RTX 4080 adopts the same turbine-style cooling design as the RTX 4090, essentially replicating NVIDIA's reference design. It features 9728 CUDA cores, 16GB of 256-bit GDDR6X memory clocked at 22.4Gbps, a base frequency of 2.21GHz, and a boost frequency of 2.51GHz, utilizing a single 12VHWPR connector.
In modern gaming, the performance of the NVIDIA RTX 4080 can reach up to twice that of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti; even at lower power, its performance can surpass that of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
The RTX 4080 features the AD103-300-A1 GPU, based on TSMC's 4nm process. It boasts 9728 CUDA cores, 76 ray tracing units, 112 rasterization units, 304 texture units, and 304 tensor cores, totaling a staggering 459 billion transistors.
Operating at a base frequency of 2205 MHz and a boost frequency of up to 2505 MHz, the RTX 4080 comes equipped with 16GB of VRAM. Its memory interface is 256-bit wide, with a memory speed of 22.4 Gbps, delivering a memory bandwidth of 716.8 GB/s. The introductory price is set at 9499 yuan (Note: The more powerful RTX 4080 Super is priced at 8099 yuan).
