On May 3, BYD officially announced that the Dolphin 07EV will be officially launched on May 10. As the first SUV model of BYD's Ocean Life series, it is meticulously crafted based on BYD's e-platform 3.0.
The new car design continues to uphold the concept of marine aesthetics, offering two power options of single motor and dual-motor all-wheel drive, with respective ranges of 550km and 610km.
In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4830/1925/1620 millimeters in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase extending up to 2930 millimeters, showcasing a spacious interior.
In terms of interior design, the Haishen 07EV continues the family design language, with a straight and leather-wrapped center console, highlighting the interior's texture and grade.
More notably, the new car is equipped with BYD's advanced intelligent driving system, known as the "Eye of the Sky." This system integrates several cutting-edge driving functions such as lane-keeping, lane guidance, lane changing assistance, traffic sign recognition, and intelligent speed control.
In terms of driving assistance, the "Eye of the Sky" performs admirably. When the distance to the vehicle ahead is too close to change lanes safely, the system will proactively adjust the speed to ensure a safe distance before initiating the lane change.
Confronted with vehicles merging from the side, the Sea Lion 07EV will intelligently choose the opportune moment to change lanes based on road conditions and traffic congestion levels, while maintaining a safe distance from adjacent vehicles.
In terms of powertrain options, the Sea Lion 07EV offers two choices: a single-motor version and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version.
The single-motor version comes in two power options: 170kW and 230kW, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version has a maximum power of 160kW for the front motor and 230kW for the rear motor.
The single-motor version has a range of up to 550km and 610km respectively, while the all-wheel-drive version is equipped with an 80.64kWh battery pack, providing a range of 550km as well.
