Accelerating Adoption! China's Gigabit Broadband Users Reach 172 Million Households: Have You Joined Yet?

According to the latest announcement from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the proportion of gigabit broadband users in China is now close to 30%.

The three major telecommunications companies, namely China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, have collectively developed 643 million fixed broadband users. Among them, the number of gigabit users has reached 172 million households, accounting for 26.7%.

Currently, 207 cities in China have reached the construction standards for gigabit cities, and these cities have formed the capability to provide gigabit network services to over 500 million households.

China has built the world's largest gigabit network, both in terms of user scale and proportion, leading globally.

As of the end of October last year, the penetration rates of broadband users with access speeds of 1000Mbps or above in the eastern, central, western, and northeastern regions of China were 25.3%, 23%, 23.6%, and 15.2%, respectively.

In the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta regions, the penetration rates of broadband users with access speeds of 1000Mbps or above were 25.2% and 23.7%, respectively. 9b72014e-0d3c-4b6f-96cd-c20e5c7b41a7.jpg
