Chen Saijuan is a renowned expert in hematology in China, having studied under Academician Wang Zhenyi. She has made outstanding achievements in the field of medical science, particularly in leukemia research. In the 1980s, she was recommended to study at the Saint-Louis Hospital in Paris, which was the hematological research center of Europe at that time. Three years later, after successful studies, she returned to China and established a molecular biology laboratory, overcoming various challenges. She subsequently published important findings in top international academic journals, contributing to world-class medical scientific achievements.

Gao Deyi, the Executive Director of the Shanghai Education System's Youth League Committee, mentioned that the committee has established several expert work studios, focusing on the role of expert mentors and integrating the committee's work into the broader context of ideological and political education.

Yang Zhenbin, the Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, stated that in the future, they will use the establishment of the Chen Saijuan Studio as an opportunity to support more senior comrades in participating in youth-focused work. They aim to leverage the attractiveness, influence, and impact of esteemed expert mentors to jointly excel in ideological and political education, illuminating the path for the younger generation.

Fan Xianqun, the Dean of the School of Medicine at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, expressed full support for the development of the "Chen Saijuan Studio." The school will fully utilize the studio's effective advantages in leading high-end medical talents and clinical scientific research, making it a new highlight of the Youth League Committee's work. Up to now, there have been 19 mentor studios established, including those named after renowned educators such as Yu Yu, a protector of Dunhuang art, Li Daqian, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences at Fudan University, Wang Pinxian, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences at Tongji University, Gu Yudong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering at Huashan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, Qiu Weiliu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering at the Ninth People's Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Bao Qifan, a national labor model, Liu Jiaxiang, a grand master of traditional Chinese medicine at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qiu Pixiang, a martial arts master at Shanghai University of Sport, and Yang Deguang, former president of Shanghai Normal University. These studios have become banners in the efforts to care for the next generation.

Chen Saijuan stated that as a scientific researcher, one should have role models to pursue ideals. In the future, she will rely on the newly established studio to explore from a theoretical perspective and practical breadth, aiming to continuously make new contributions to nurturing successors who are idealistic, ethical, cultured, and physically and mentally healthy.
